Congratulations to Littlemissmillion - Gr2 SA Oaks Winner
Littlemissmillion, owned by Mr K P & Mrs N M Backos, trained by Tyrone Zackey, and ridden by Craig Zackey, captured the Gr2 SA Oaks, the third leg of the Wilgerbosdrift South African Triple Tiara, on April 4, 2026.
Winning by 2 lengths, Littlemissmillion delivered a memorable performance. Congratulations to all the connections on this outstanding achievement.
Buffalo Storm Cody
Wilgerbosdrift’s exciting sire Buffalo Bill Cody was back in the spotlight on Saturday as his star son Buffalo Storm Cody captured the Gr.1 TAB Computaform Sprint over 1000m at Turffontein.
Trained by Tony Peter and ridden by Richard Fourie, the four-year-old recorded his second Gr.1 success, having won last season’s Gr.1 Mercury Sprint. Sent off a well supported favourite, he produced a sharp turn of foot to win going away by nearly two lengths.
Now the highest-rated horse in South Africa, Buffalo Storm Cody has won 10 of 18 starts, with earnings exceeding R2 million. Bred by Narrow Creek Stud, he races for Kestorm Investments.
By the outstanding sire Redoute’s Choice (whose sons include the likes of Snitzel, Not A Single Doubt, Rafeef and The Autumn Sun), Buffalo Bill Cody has 11 lots catalogued for the National Yearling Sale.
